Hydrogen is Shopify’s React framework for building custom storefronts, with components and hooks for carts, products, and checkout. Deployed on Oxygen, it runs server-side at the edge.
Why we use it
It gives us the freedom of a headless build without rebuilding commerce primitives. Carts, variants, and checkout come ready, so we focus on the experience and the performance.
